Advantages: Good strong flavour , Stores well
Disadvantages: A little bit pricey
I had never seen these tea bags until I moved to Scotland a few years ago, no really I hadn't. I was on the look out for my usual brand -PG tips but couldn't find them and low and behold I spotted these.
As they are are made by Brooke Bond I suspect they are actually the same product with different packaging. They are pyramid bags, the same as PG but the flavour is far better, I think it is much stronger and richer and yet smoother and very refreshing.Another good point is you don't have to hang around for ages waiting for it to brew a decent cup.Just one or two minutes is all it takes for a good strong cup or mug.
The price of these tea bags varies enormously from shop to shop for instance in Safeway I pay £2.99 for 160 bags,in the Scottish Co-op I pay £3.75 and in an Alldays shop £3.49.
All the prices may seem expensive to you but you always get a decent cup of tea right down to the last bag. I've found that some teas despite their foil packages and storing in airtight jars lose their flavour towards the end of the box and are quite weak.
Also going back to the price issue quite often I can buy these tea bags at a special offer price ,either buy one get one free or 50%extra free etc. So it doesn't work out too bad if you have the chance to shop around.
So if you've never tried them give them a go. I can honestly say you won't be disappointed.
I forgot to mention that you can buy this product as loose tea as well but as I don't drink it myself I can't comment on it.
