      round teabags by Fresh Brew

At work, we are always going through boxes of tea bags but for a few weeks no one bothered to get anymore so I finally made a stand and said to get some more. When in the small shop near work, there wasn't much in the way of good deals on tea bags until I came across this little box of Fresh Brew Tea. I have never heard of the brand at all and wasn't sure if it was new or not but for the amazing price difference in it compared to the well known brand, I purchased this one.

The Fresh Brew box is a green colour and has 'Fresh Brew' written in white type on the front and how many teabags the box holds, mine is 40. It has a landscape scene on the half of the box and says 'A Refreshing Blend' underneath the name. I was quite surprised to find that Fresh Brew is actually a brand under the Typhoo brand which wasn't clear on the packaging. The packaging is very vibrant and eye catching and a box shape is easy to store and the bags themselves are circular.

Upon opening a box of Fresh Brew teabags, it is sealed in a foil bag to keep long lasting freshness. Now, to open the bag it was just a bundle of many circular tea bags which looked no different to any other brand. They did not have a very strong tea smell and looked pretty average really. I wanted to try them out and see if they were any good compared to my usual favourite brands. Before knowing they were under Typhoo, I was impressed but now knowing a famous tea brand creates them, makes me no longer shocked as to why the tea is nice.

I boiled up the kettle as I always do ad put my teabag into the mug. The teabag when hit with hot water, released a dark golden colour in the mug, it released a lot of tea right away but with these it is best to leave them stewing in the hot water longer to get a more intense flavour. Otherwise, I found that dipping the teabag in and out didn't really release much tea at all and it was pale in colour otherwise.

I was ready to drink the tea and it is not as strong as some other brands but I did like it. It has quite a rich tea flavour and it also was just the right amount of tea and the perfect colour. It kept the flavour throughout the whole mug of tea and it was a bit more subtle than other brands but being a circular teabag it was fine for me and I liked the taste. I thought, that maybe it would be a bit bland and not so authentic but it was definitely a refreshing brew like the box stated.

I do like this tea but I'll keep it a brand for the office. I still am a Tetley girl at heart but for the price I got these for, I really cannot complain. They are a good tasting brand and the box should last you quite a good amount of time, depending on how much tea you drink. I just think that I prefer a more intense flavour when drinking tea at home and that is all but it is good to have a brand for the house and one for the workplace as it gives a bit of variety that way, I suppose.

For me to purchase a box of 40 teabags in the corner shop for me it was just 69p which is fantastic for this small box as most other brands were double that. I have not yet seen this brand in Tesco or any other supermarkets.
