Advantages: tasty and healthy :)
Disadvantages: none...
I really love orange juice but it can be expensive so we but Morrisons own brand regularly as it is so cheap at 56p for a litre carton!
The container it comes in is a plastic square recyclable one with a plain white and yellow label saying 'Value Orange Juice From Concentrate' and is made in the UK and there is usually a good few weeks on the use by date which is printed on the bright orange plastic lid...
It doesn't look expensive but the taste isn't much different than some brands I have tasted although it isn't as thick and as much pulp in - but some people prefer smooth anyway.
If I had to describe the texture I would say is it a really rich flavoured orange juice with plenty of concentrate in it but it's not too sweet if you prefer your juice sweeter?
The Value drink is rather smooth I think and is very tasty and really good for a natural vitamin C source too :)
The guideline daily amount if you have a 250ml glass full is 5.3% of your calories which are 105 per glass. The sugars are really high at 22.7g but no fat or salt which is cool...
It is pasteurised and needs to be kept in the fridge as well as used within four days once opened.
The juice tastes lovely chilled and you can make ice cube and ice lollies from it as well which are really yummy!
Value is a really good alternative to more expensive option for those on a budget like us and I don't feel I am losing out by not having a famous name as it's all made from oranges anyway...
For a really healthy change from fizzy pop I would say try it, I think it's worth four stars!
Summary: A good choice ;-p
