 ... made from 100% organically grown ingredients. It contains 50% peppermint leaf, 20% licorice root, plus fennel seed, hibiscus flowers and 5% rose flowers plus a bit of coriander seed. What an exotic and unusual combination! You add hot water just off the boil to a mug that contains one of these tea bags. You need to let it infuse for 5 minutes before drinking it so that you get a nice, strong flavour. This tea brews up into a pretty pink colour so it is quite enjoyable to drink. I absolutely love Pukka teas. I can't have caffeine anymore and it's great to have found this brand which allows me to have nice, luxurious blends of herbal teas which make me feel so much less deprived when I can't join my workmates for the morning coffee they always brew. I generally keep a selection of Pukka teas on my desk but I never would have chosen to buy this one so luckily my colleague had some and offered me a couple of tea bags in trade for one of the flavours I had that she wanted to try. A lot of mint teas have a kind of flat, "cardboard-y" texture, if you know what I mean; there's a dullness to the flavour, which is probably to do with a lack of freshness. The natural mintiness fades very quickly and loses its zest once it's dried. This is a shame, especially as mint is well known to be great for the digestion and if you fancy a hot drink after a heavy meal that doesn't interfere with your gut's ability to absorb vital minerals from your food such as iron (yes, both tea and coffee have this effect), then you'll know mint tea is perfect.
