Advantages: Great taste, cheap
Disadvantages: Can be difficult to just get one tea bag without ripping the others
I've never been a fan of hot drinks, but having always loved cinnamon and cherries, I figured that for £1.08 I might as well give this tea a go. When I bought it, it actually only cost £1 though, because I bought it in the offer £2 for 2 boxes. Since then though I have been more than happy to pay the extra 8p that it costs normally, because lets face it, it's not exactly a huge saving. In each box you get 20 tea bags.
This tea comes in the typical Twinings box that opens up much like a book to reveal the tea bags, two by two, inside. One thing that does annoy me about this though is that the tea bags are still stuck together, so you often end up with two without realising. It's only a minor niggle though really, I suppose, and it's not like it's a major problem with anything.
The box for these tea bags is blue, with red cherries on the front of it, and a few cinnamon sticks to the side. I think that this is quite an appealing box because it suggests that it is going to be a very cherry and cinnamon flavoured drink, without much else in it to hide those flavours. It also goes a similar colour to the cherries on the front of the box when you put the tea bag in water, so I guess this colouration is a suggestion of the colours of the drink too.
So what does it taste like? It tastes like cherries and cinnamon! Admittedly, it does taste more like cherries than cinnamon, but it all depends on how long you leave the tea bag in, really. I find that the longer it's left in for, the stronger both flavours become, and that the cinnamon does start to come through after a while of leaving it in.
Another thing that I thought was really good about this drink was the fact that I've not found the need to add any sugar at all to this drink because it has quite a sweet taste to it anyway. This is always a bonus for anyone that is trying to diet, although it's handy for everyone anyway to be fair! It's also caffeine free, for anyone interested in that as well.
