Advantages: Nice aroma and vanilla aftertaste
Disadvantages: Disappointing overall flavour
This flavoured tea is like a cross between a herbal tea and a fruit tea: it provides the lovely taste of a flavour tea, but the ginseng it contains provides revival
The Company
Twinings has been established since 1706, making and selling tea of all kinds. They now sell over 200 teas in over 100 countries. This flavoured tea is part of their FruitBliss infusions range.
The Tea and my opinion
I have to say that this tea, although I like blackcurrant, did not taste as nice as I expected it to. There was a nice subtle aftertaste of vanilla, but the combination did not sit well on my palate, and I did not finish the drink. The aroma as I undid the perforated pack of 20 teabags was pleasant, and this remained pleasant as the hot water was added. If anything, the vanilla was stronger in smell than in taste, and the blackcurrant vice versa.
On the positive side, I did feel as if I was relaxed and invigorated at the same time, so it was not all disaster, but I won't be buying this flavour again.
Conclusion
Not my favourite flavoured tea. I prefer the Raspberry, strawberry, and Loganberry tea, which has a nicer flavour in my view.
I bought this tea for £1.09 from my local shop, but it is available from Tesco for 93p.
