First of all apologies for the appauling title, but in truth this really is a very good tea. Many people I know may be put off by the word organic - since it is seen by some as a pointless prefix for a foodstuff meaning poncy, middle-class and more expensive but this is really not true. Products such as this go to show that organic food and drink truly are superior quality and worth the small amount more they may cost. This is a strong and distinctive tasting tea, which can be drunk with or without milk and truly at any time of the day. Cheap or badly made teas often contain a great deal of dust within the bag and produce a rather unpleasent greyish colour but this provides a warm almost coppery colour which is very appealing. It is genuinely refreshing as well as warming and washes down a piece of cake brilliantly. So, don't be put off by the rather posh packaging, this is a good strong and unpretentious tea, which does not require any work to detect flavour in as with some other products.

I recently tried Twining's Traditional English Organic Tea when a free sample box of 50 tea bags arrived in the post one day. The box describes the tea as full bodied(strength 3, which means strong) and says that it can be drunk throughout the day.The tea takes about 5 minutes to brew and get its full flavour and is definetly best served with a little milk. Usefully the package also carries full, detailed instructions on how to make a cup of tea(!) The flavour of the tea is quite sharp, but not bitter. It has a good clean flavour which does not coat the palete too much and is fresh tasting. Although the tea bags I tried were organic I saw little difference between those and Twing's normal Traditional English tea. However they Have Soil Association Approval, which means as an organic product they have only used approved pesticides.(many people don't realise that organic does not mean pesticide free, but that they product uses approved chemicals)
