Mulled Wine flavour Instant Tea is available from instore in Whittards and also on their website. It typically costs £5.00 a tub of 500g and is typically available around Christmas time. However, this tea is often on special offer in-store, alongside all the other teas - eg on a 3 for 2. The tea comes in a cylindrical cardboard tub with a plastic lid. The tub is nicely decorated, as all the other instant teas are, so it does not feel like a big deal to have it out on display, also it is quite solid so stacks easily, especially you have other varieties of Whittards tea. The recommendations are that you mix 3 heaped teaspoons (approx 20g) per ... Read the complete review

I'm not a tea drinker at all. From the few samples I've had of flavoured teas in my life, they just taste like hot water with a faint overtone, like if you didn't properly wash out a mug and got a Fairy Liquid taste to your drink. Ugh! So when my friend dragged me to Whittards, it wasn't really surprising that I was reluctant to try either of the sample teas on offer. However, I quickly changed my tune when I tasted the cranberry and white grape flavour - delicious! For me, the first sign that Christmas is on it's way is that Whittard of Chelsea start to stock their Mulled Wine tea again! Only available in the months leading up to Christmas, this is a delicious alternative to real Mulled Wine. Instant Teas Whittard do a wide range of different Instant Teas in lots of different flavours, Mulled Wine being one of them. They are very easy to make, just put a few teaspoons into a mug, add boiling water and voila! Hot, tasty tea. The recommended amount to use is 4 - 5 teaspoons, but I found that made the tea far too strong, so I use ... Read the complete review

I am always on the look out for quirky things to buy for Christmas to keep in the house for visitors or to give people as gifts. I was browsing through Whittards at Bluewater last Christmas and came across this for £4.99. I was actually looking for nice tea pots to buy people, but I added this to my basket too. Whittards mulled wine flavoured tea comes in a round tub, with a plastic lift on and off lid. I wasn't sure what to expect but was surprised to see grains inside. I guess the name 'instant tea drink' should have given it away, but I obviously didn't have my brain switched on! I think I was expecting tea bags, or more the sort of tea you strain, but ...
