I am a big fan of the Whittard tea company and for Christmas I got a lovely set of fruit teas. Ever since going on holiday to Turkey years ago, I have always loved Turkish Apple tea and so to get hold of it over here is amazing. Whittard always make such great flavours of tea and are a brand that I trust a lot, that is why when I saw this in the set I was really pleased. The thing I love most about Turkish Apple tea is that it can be taken hot or cold so it goes a long way and is worth the money for definite. PACKAGING This tea comes in a big cylindrical tub with a plastic lid and on the front has the Whittard logo and then around the body has a ...  Read the complete review

I'm not a big fan of traditional tea and had recently been experimenting with Twinings herbal teas when I stumbled into Whittards and came across this product. Its not a herbal tea as such, but more a fruit flavoured drink which contains sugars and tea, but does not have the flavour of traditional tea, thankfully for me. A 400g tub will cost £6 but there are always offers on, currently buy any 3 tubs for £13. The tubs are quite big and chunky and will last a while. To drink, you simply add 3 heaped teaspoons to hot water for a delicious hot drink or add to cold water and serve with ice for a refreshing summer drink. One tub using these measurements ...  Read the complete review

I've probably reviewed more types of tea than anyone else here on dooyoo - white tea, black tea, fruit tea, green tea... you name it, I've written about it. However, all of those teas have come in tea-bag form, and this review represents my first excursion into the world of powdered tea. Described as "A tangy, full flavoured apple tea drink", Wittard's 'Turkish Apple- Instant Tea' can be purchased for £5.99 for the 500g container. Brewing Instructions - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Making the tea is easy - simply add three teaspoons of the apple powder per cup and stir well. It is said that the 500g tub contains twenty-five ...  Read the complete review

This apple tea is made in the Turkish style, but don't be fooled, most Turks don't drink their tea this way. Turkish tea is traditionally a very strong black tea, apparently the Apple tea is really only popular with tourists and the locals don't drink it. THat being said, the Turkish Apple tea is delicious. It's actually more of a hot juice or other drink than a tea since there are no leaves in the brew. Instead you take several spoonfuls of a sugary, golden looking substance and stir it into boiling water to make your drink. I suspect that in fact this is probably about 98% sugar. When you add the hot water you do get a strong and immediate apple ...  Read the complete review
