Advantages: You can get info and numbers for free.
Disadvantages: using the old 118 118 costs a bomb!
I'm writing this all of a fluster.
I've tried calling 118 118 from my mobile 4 times this week and I've had 2...yes 2 responses but thats not even my main problem with them!
I have just been on their website trying to find how much it costs to make these calls as boviously I want to get my money refunded for the 2 numbers they never sent (i know it sounds stingy but god knows how much that cost from my mobile) and the website confused me so much I just ended up using the "ask a question for free" bit and have the answer sent to my phone...how silly. So they still haven't responded. I finally found my way to the charges part of the website after trying to find it for 10minutes only to find my calls cost 69p initially with another 25p a minute jesus tonight!!!....HOW MUCH??? thats pretty pricey especially when I read further on the info page and found you can actually fone them for FREE on their free phone number "0800 118 free"
Surely they should advertise this one more? Oh well. I'll be down a few pennies next month from my phonebill but I've learnt my lesson.
The bottom line is...visit the website first...use the 10 free questions and then if you can't get the info you need, find and use the freephone number as theres no need to spend any money at all!
Summary: Do your research before you do your research!
