AlphaPhe.NetNewest Review: ... were good and they were excellent value for money. However, I have returned from holiday to find that this service is no longer available. I can however, still get access through their 1p a minute service (hence this review!). The reason for the withdrawal of service is that some of their investors have pulled out. They are endeavouring to process refunds, but anyone registered with them should cancel any standing orders / direct debits set up with them. Alphaphe are also trying to get the service up and running again, but the tone of their website is that this may take some time. ... more |

Update ****** This was the best pre-pay ISP I've ever used, but probably a bit too cheap. Unfortunately Alphaphe have lost their backer & are pulling the plug on the 0808 service, probably sometime today. They intend to offer refunds (Users can request one from their homepage) They hope to return if they can secure new backing, I hope so, but it seems unlikely to me. ************************************ AlphaPhe offer a variety of unmetered packages starting from £5.99 for evening & weekend usage. 24/7 is £11.99 at the moment and weekday daytime only is £8.99 Payment is on a monthly basis by standing order, ...
