Advantages: Free McAffe firewall

Disadvantages: Unreliable, Slow Connection, Poor customer service

I've been with AOL for about 4 years now and I've had enough.

I've just received my MAC code from AOL it'll be a relief to get rid of them, the line used to be reasonably reliable, since selling AOL UK to Carphone Warehouse my internet keeps disconnecting and I've gone from 2.7MB/s to 1.5MB/s at peak times its only 922Kps.

AOL - £20 a month - 2MB/s - Crap USB Modem

SKY - £10 a month - upto 16MB/s - Wireless Router

There technical help is a joke, its call centre is in India so the accent is hard to understand and they just read from a script, they don't actually know anything they just state the obvious like is you modem plugged in? don't they think I would of checked that first?

The only good thing they have ever done is that they sent me my MAC code in only an hour.

Update 07/06/08: I've now got SKY broadband up and running and its twice as good a AOL I was getting a unreliable connection of upto 2.8Mb/s now I've got a rock solid 4Mb/s connection.
