Advantages: a good service most of the time
Disadvantages: some teething prob
I have been with Aol for years and have always found them to be good. I have my calls with them too as I found this to be a good price. I was going to transfer to orange but when i phoned them and explained that i wasn't happy I was offered a cheaper rate which i found great so I ended up staying with them. I currently pay £17.99 per month for my internet and phone calls and my usual £15 line rental to Bt where before I was paying £30 to BT for my line rental and calls and £25 to Aol so I have saved £22.
I think their network coverage is great and Aol has always been faster than any other network i have used. I do think the helpline staff are helpful and i like the fact that they are open until midnight.
Although in the past few months I have had a few problems with them. I found that the money wasn't going out of my bank so I phoned them and asked why. Aol explained that it was because they were teaming with the car phone warehouse and they were changing over their computer info so all their systems were running slow. The next week I was cut off (my net and phone) I again phoned Aol who told me that they were very sorry and again it was no fault of my own. It took they 3 days to reconnect me but in their favour they did credit my account with £20.
I have had no further problems apart from the odd time when the net has been down due to patience work but that was only for a few hours. I suppose you will get teething problems with any provider.
Summary: good network coverage
