AOL Broadband

I joined AOL when the free laptop offer came out. Mainly because a) I wanted a Laptop and b) I wanted wireless broadband. I was with Virgin Media, but they wouldn't offer me wireless on a staff tariff. I simply applied for AOL broadband on the Carphone Warehouse website. It was quick and easy to apply for. All I had to to is choose my Laptop and pay £15.99 delivery charge. The process of setting this up was so simple. AL sent me my wireless kit and all my information in the post. been with AOL for about 5 years - started off brilliant but just lately they have been very poor. I have had a few probs with my compy so had to call up their helpline (Used to be free now a premium number) talking to a call center in india or ireland is a bit tricky but they usually sort the problem after about 3 calls! The speed is average, but the price seems to be spiralling! Its a bit of a rip off seems as im currently using a USB modem and not even using wireless! I have had a fair bit of downtime in the last year but i rang them up and they put me on a fix list or something - i heard nothing more but havnt had any downtime recently...touch ...

Aol broadband is a contistant service that I have been on for quite a while now... I have been with AOL for 10 years and they always treat us good. If theres a new special offer offered by aol we just give them a ring and they will let us in on it as well. For example last year when there free laptop deal came out as we were an existing customer they gave us 3 months free on the aol service! Not bad huh :D I have have a problem with the connection and its always at a fast speed... although I do tell you that if your on the broadband service you do need to buy their router (as problems do happen with others) and also if your on wireless I would ...
