I am a little more than dissatisfied with AT&T. My hubby had their service before I came back to the States to live, and it was only when I checkd the bill, I'd realised that for some six months or so, they had not been giving him the domestic 10c a minute rate. Yes, he got it on his calls to me in England, but calling my son in New york - sometimes it worked out at around 30-40c a minute. Obviously, after him paying the bills all those months without query, it was too late for me to get it rectified once I got here.
Not only that, but we had problems with some of our local long-distance not going through. I'd dial and it would tell me I needed to dial 1 or the area code, but then, when I did that, it would tell me that this didn't need to be done. Ah, but surprise, surprise - the operator could always connect you - for a price of course.

I've read other opinions so it seems my experience is not a on-off. So, we have a couple of reasons for this. We could assume that these are all genuine mistakes - in which case AT&T needs to update it's equipment, it's methods, and it's sales reps knowledge. Or, we can go the other way and think that this is a deliberate action on the part of AT&T, and that they are trying to fleece their customers. Either way, it does not bode well for AT&T - thievery or incompetence. Their choice, and neither a reputation worth having.
Oh, and when you change companies, AT&T will call and harrass you to switch back, three or four times A DAY! Even after I had asked them to stop! And the people would just carry on talking when you told them you were not interested! duh! What are they - deaf?It took me getting nasty and threatening to report them before they would stop.
