Newest Review: ... some more……. The time reached 16:00 and still no sign of our visit from British Gas so I rang the call centre who assured me that we were due a visit. Around 16:30 we got a call from the salesman saying he had got a bit held up and would be ther e in an hour. This means that he wouldn’t be arriving until 17:30! This meant my wife and I had both taken an afternoon off work for no reason! We could have both finished work at our normal time and been home in time for the quote. Eventually there was a knock at the door and in came British Gas.... more

British Gas are a company that tries it on with very expensive prices and if you don't notice that they have changed them when it comes to it they will renew your contract automatically and even extend it to two years. When this happens they will not listen to anything that you say at all they are not interested.

Shortly after moving to our new home, my wife and I decided to upgrade our back boiler and gas fire. The boiler was getting old and was inefficient and we wanted a focal point fire to replace our old radiant fire. I decided to get a new mobile in April as I could never use the land line as my dear fiance was always on the internet, and using my pay as you go mobile was becoming expensive. The range of tariffs and packages was extensive and I was totally unsure of which way to go when I noticed an advert in the newspaper for Your Choice 500. It is a home/mobile package where you get 500 free minutes of off peak calls split between your home phone and mobile, which must be split in blocks of 100 with at least 100/400 either way. I was persuaded by British Gas with whom for some inexplicable reason I have their 3 star cover on my central heating, to take out an extra insurance with them on my plumbing and drains. This I did thinking that for the £50 or so per annum that it costs it would be cheaper than calling out a plumber should anything go wrong. So almost a couple of weeks ago the neighbour in the flat underneath mine telephoned to say she had water coming from my flat into hers. I called out British Gas who promised a plumber would be there the next day between 8 and 1pm.
