Advantages: standardized throughout the country

Disadvantages: bad customer service

I have BT broadband and am quite satisfied with the service. On the rare occasion that my connection has had problems I have been able to get help by phone and qualified personnel have guided me step by step to fix the problem.

BT vision on the other hand is a different kettle of fish. After signing up for that (on the phone) and having several conversations with them (all of them initiated by them) we cancelled our normal cable provider and waited for the BT people to send our equipment. The day came and went but nothing happened. We called them and they said that they have no record of us asking for BT vision. Total and utter rubbish, I don't know what they are playing at. They took 2 weeks to get my line sorted and left me with no compensation even though I am eligible. When I called up the custmomer service regarding this, their record showed that this fault was dealt in 5 days of the complaint and hence there is no compensation.

Well, this is my experience with BT and not necessarily everyone had bad experience. My reviews can also be found on ciao and helphound.
