Advantages: BT Vision service is ok

Disadvantages: Worst customer service I have ever some across

BT offer the worst service I have ever come across. It is a shame they have such a monopoly on services so no matter where you go you have to get yourself a BT landline. I am only with BT because there is no other option in my apartment block. They are rubbish for the following reasons;

* They messed up our direct debit and would not refund us for the over payments we had made as a result of their mistake

* Whereas most companies will allow you to pay by direct debit for all their services with one payment, BT insist this is not possible and so we have 2 payments coming out, one for the internet and one for the phone and tv.

* They tried to charge us an installation fee of £122 for a landline in our new place even though it was mentioned on their own website there would be no charge during the months we were applying

* Their staff are unaware of special offers they advertise

* Poor internet service, we have to reset hub everyday to get a signal

* Very poor customer service, I often feel they are not listening to me and have got a script in front of them that they must read out! Plus whenever I have phoned to complain I have been passed between many people, the most being 7!

Stay Away from BT!

Summary: BT - worst service ever!

They couldn't figure out a line problem was not allowing my broadband to work for over 5 months! And I still had to pay for broadband that wouldn't work!!!!

They *are*, without a doubt, dreadful for all the reasons you stated and more - and OFCOM'S suggestion that consumers in the UK have genuine choices is pretty ridiculous.

I would go with Virgin or Sky if I had the option but Virgin can't set us up in our building and sky have got problems with setting a dish up too because of the position of our flat.
