I've moved a lot in the last year. In my old house I had a Telewest phone line which was brilliant, I never had any problems with it and I always got top speeds when I connected to the Internet, although their customer service left a lot to be desired. Then I moved into temporary accommodation and got a BT line. They connected it within a day ... Read the complete review

I asked myself, why is it that today I am awoken by a BT engineer. He says, "I have come to repair your phone. May I come inside?". The day before, I reported my line as faulty. BT said they could not get an engineer to my house until next week. I told the opertor on the phone not to send an engineer out as I am changing to NTL on the ... Read the complete review

i have been a BT user for many years and I must admit it is not only my land line it is my life line. My husband says I need an operation to get the phone from my ear. It is the only source of conversation some days isn't it. With the offers that BT have ie:- Friends and family, call waiting, call minder and many more. Call waiting ... Read the complete review

It's funny that dooyoo should mention recently if people are going back to BT as I certainly am! My mum only just called BT yesterday, and they're going to reconnect us for free (as we were previous customers) within the next 2 weeks and we'll get to keep our existing number. So, that's an incentive to go back in itself, what with ... Read the complete review

At home, my Phone network is BT. Reason being is I got fed up with paying two sets of bills. Let me explain..... I got a great offer from a mate of mine who worked in a phone shop. It involved signing up for a little box that cost £20 that sits on the wall (supplied by Cable and Wireless) that automatically diverts my calls to C + W ... Read the complete review

BT Home Highway is a service offered by British Telecom that converts your existing analogue line into 2 ISDN lines and 1 analogue line. It is ideal for a family that needs to have more than one line so that you can go on the internet and still receive phone calls. For my situation where we originally wanted a second analogue line we discovered ... Read the complete review

Have you recently received a bill from BT ? Have you checked through it ? I mean , really checked ?? Having just received our bills , the usual family gathering at our parents house soon turned to "How much was your phone bill" ? As the conversation continued , we realised that we had all been double charged by BT . Check your bill ... Read the complete review

BT is the most amazing rip-off imaginable. For a start, it is high time they got rid of the 5p (inc VAT) minimum charge. If you use BT to check your email, for instance, which, depending on what you have to send/receive only takes a minute or so, it costs you 5p at least. I have been using OneTel for over a year for phone calls and have ... Read the complete review

I must admit, I wonder how I ever got on without an answerphone. Apart from the obvious use of recording messages when you are not in, they are great for call screening double glazing salesman and Mother-in-laws !! I've had 2 little boxes in my time. The first had a tape which became fuzzy after lots of use. The second was one of ... Read the complete review

I have read a few opinions stating that BT rip you off and are just out to make a profit. I agree with both of these statements, but it's not as if there are no alternatives out there. BT used to have a monopoly, so you had no choice but to pay their vastly inflated prices. But with de-regulation there are lots of different ... Read the complete review

I had my BT line converted to the BT Home Highway service about a year ago now when they has a special offer on the conversion charge. Home highway gives me 2 lines and I can use then in any combination, I kept my old phone number but I was also given 2 new numbers, 1 for a separate analogue phone so I could give out a separate business ... Sorry to sound like a soccer yob, but BT really stink. Did you know that when you ring someone, and they are engaged, and they have call waiting, YOU get charged for the privilege of that call. AND that it costs you 5p! You don't believe me? Check out your itemised bill. You will probably see lots of little short calls, followed by a ... Read the complete review

I was left very annoyed after signing up with BT Surftime on the 1st June. They failed to tell me that I should also sign up for a seperate "account" with Freeserve who were already my ISP. I have been a customer with BT now for a year and have never ever experienced any problems with them, if anything I have always found BT to be extremely helpful, they often contact me out of the blue with information about money saving offers that they are offering, and I have signed up for many such as BT Surf Time which has reduced my monthly ... I can't understand why anyone with a choice would stay connected to BT for any longer than they have to. For the same price as BTs standard line rental you can have two phone lines with NTL or a phone line and cable TV. The Phone rates are much lower too and with the new 3p 2p 1p system you don't have to worry where you are phoning to in ... Read the complete review

BT styles itself as building for the net generation. Well with their call charges and overall policy theyre not building for the net generation but the next genration (yes an expensive and unsatifactory disapointment).
