Slow, slow,and slower

Advantages: lots of service calls when you don't need them. Oops,that's not an advantage
Disadvantages: none that I can think of
I, like most other people in the UK have been a customer of this lot for decades. They always have, and probably always will take their customers for granted.
The Broadband service just dies whenever the rush hour starts, and their price has been one of the highest on the market. I stayed with them because I thought it would be too much hassle to change, and they took advantage of this. The service just got worse and worse.
My son then advised me to look at 02, and I plucked up the courage to switch. I have no idea how good 02 will be because the service hasn't started yet.
However, in trying to obtain my MAC code, I have been treated rudely and slowly, with one of their 'so called' customer service people refusing to email me my MAC code for 5 days 'it says up to 5 days so you will have to wait 5 days', and I did wait, and there after 5 days I got the email. I should have asked for it by post! On the other hand....
I did however get 5-6 phone calls from unhappy people phoning to give me the good news about all the discounts I was entitled to if I remained with BT. Most of the conversations went like this (oh, and all ended the same way) " I'm phoning to speak to you, can you please identify yourself".... 'Why should I"..... Cos I can't speak to you if you don't" " that's OK, good bye"... No, no, is that Mr. An*****".... "yes it is".... I'm phoning to give you a discount on your Broadband"...."No thanks i've already agreed to switch' .... "but we are the best'... " I don't think so, but God help me if you are" SLAM, down went the phone, right on cue.
Thanks for all the calls BT. You wasted lots of my time and yours. Shame you can't invest more money in improving your services, and less in wasting your customer's time.
