Advantages: another number for no extra cost.

I was using Tiscali previously but when we shifted to our new house we also transfer broadband to our new accommodation and problem started. Tiscali has proven to be very good broadband service and we never had any problem but their customer service is low standard because the way they dealt the case we moved on to other service provider. We choose BT. We did use BT dial up broadband in past . Me and my husband were very happy with the service and customer service department . We have phone line is from BT so we decided to switch to BT Total Broadband service.

There are some options available to choose in BT broadband. I choose BT Total Broadband option 1. We are already paying extra to BT phone line and our weekend and after 6pm phone calls free. We wanted a basic broadband as I am a house wife and so my usage is just general like surfing the web, read reviews write on some site and simple things like that. I usually do not download .My husband is a GP so he use Broad band to call patients (via call centre) or he also does general things no heavy usage so we took the option 1.

The BT Total Broadband option included:

Free wireless BT Home Hub: The slim slightly curve black "N" technology wireless Hub is
included for free. The Hub produce wireless signals in the house and so other computers, laptops gaming devices ,Mobile phones and smart phones etc can be connected wirelessly at home using the same internet connection. The BT home Hub is strong and no doubt good strength of signals are generated.

Free new phone number: I was delighted to get another phone number along with the Hub for no extra charges. no extra line rent. I checked the cost of calls made from that number were slightly less then the original Bt charges specially when calling abroad. The new number obeys the same contract as our BT landline.

There is a phone socket on the back of the Hub . Just connect any phone (I connected my own cordless phone) in the connection provided. This phone will receive calls using internet connection. But it will work like normal phones for making and receiving calls. I was slightly confuse about this because when I called on new number the phone attached with Hub ranged and but when I called on the present (normal landline) phone both the phones rang at the same time. But the phone with the Hub stopped ringing as soon as I picked up my old number phone. So I concluded both the phones are using the same line so rang at the same time but as the new number is connected to hub via internet so when called on that particular number it acts like a VoIP phone and only rang that one.

I make calls regularly with this new number I never feel a single difference or signal problem. It cost me less when calling abroad like US.

Unlimited UK Evening & Weekend calls: This new BT phone number includes free evening and weekends calls.

BT Yahoo! email account: Along with the internet connection every ISP provider provide free web space and email account so BT does but it has contract with Yahoo so provide BT yahoo email account.

monthly usage: 10GB monthly usage with basic security.

contract: 18 month

monthly fee: £7.78 for the first 3 months, £15.65 thereafter in case of 18 month contract but if
want contract of 12 months then £15.65 a month .

Over all I am very happy with the service and with the whole package. The internet speed is nice and quite fast to me. Over all customer service is efficient and nice up till now.
