BT Broadband - Avoid like the plague (BT Broadband)

Advantages: None that I can see

Disadvantages: Poor customer services, Poor Service in general, Seem unable to sort out problems

I cannot believe how poor BT are with customer service. After buying into BT's 'all in one' packages consisting of Phone, Broadband and BT Vision service in February I thought great all under one roof, one bill no problems.

First of all you get 3 bills! Ok not much of an issue but overly complicated surely??!

Secondly ..... service well what can I say, the BT Vision service kept throwing up errors now and again when trying to play on demand content but me being me lived with it as it was sporadic and not causing much disruption. Fast forward to June 26th! The BT Vision on demand service just wouldn't work and kept giving me a 'V04' error, this as I was told by the BT Vision Technical help (in Newcastle and were very good BTW) was a broadband fault and I had to deal with the Indian Technical Helpdesk I had 2 BT HomeHubs and 2 visits from an engineer and a Download speed of less than 500 kbps! This lasted until the 20th October!!

I don't want to jump on the bandwagon regarding outsourcing customer services to India but I have lost count of how many times I have been told to expect a call between a certain time and not received one and in other cases been disconnected form a call because the person couldn't deal with the problem, this isn't the sort of service I expect from any company especially from one the size of BT.

I hate to say this but I wish our flat had Virgin capability because then I wouldn't have had the misfortune to deal with BT. Poor.
