I used to have the BT Pay & Go phone..
It was that Phillips C12 phone, and when that service first came out, it had unlimited free calls to a landline number of your choice.

After about two months they blocked my phone..!!

When I phoned them up the 1st time, they didn't know why it was barred, and they said they will find out and contact me..

4 days later.. not heard anything from them.. I phoned up again.. and they still didn't know.. so they again said they will phone me back..

Again no contact from them.. So I phoned up again.. (by the way, me calling them was costing me.. and the calls wrre always on hold for a long time).. Anyway, the third time I called them... they said they had barred it, cos I broke their Terms & Conditions.. but they didn't know which one..!! and they said they will find out and contact me..

And they never did.. and I never called back..!!

I know those phones could to be 'chipped' and people used to make free calls.. but I can assure you I hadn't done that..

I think they barred it cos I was using the free number non stop..!!(well it was there to take advantage off).
They realised they made a mistake with that option (and later on limited the number of free calls to 500 minutes).

It's taking the piss!!!.. and you can't do anything about it.
