Advantages: cd makes a nice coaster

Biggest telephone company in the united kingdom?? well then why isnt their internet providing technologies that good. Bt anytime is a disgrace to the internet world. the connection speeds are slow as anything and somtimes it takes about 20 or so tries to connect to the service and even then it takes 6 minutes for you to be disconnected again.

The cost of Bt anytime is 14.99 a month which is way to dear. Signing up is done by either obtaining a disc by bt or going to their website where you will need a credit or debit card to sign up.

I dont think you can compare this to other competition. I mean i hardly get anything outta this service as it always disconnects me as its to slow. Other ISPs that offer free unlimited service are:
Freeserve
Lineone
NTL
Free Internet
Netscape

Why i chose this service?

Bt internet provided me with a good service when i got the after 6 package, so i thought i would choose the anytime package to see if it lived up to this, at the time this was the only 24/7 offering any of the ISPs gave out so i chose this. Now i use freeserve anytime and find this a much better service and i regulary get maximum connections all the time. Also i regulary downloaded at the normal 4/5kb in which most 56k users downloaded at, so this made me choose this.

Who would use the service?

going from my personal experience i hope no one will use the service, all my friends regulary complain about it being to slow when they want to download mp3s and stuff. People who use the net for more than 6 hours a day sh
ould choose a 24/7 internet package, if you go on it for less well then i advise you choose a surftime package or a pay as you go package.
Bt Surftime (6pm - 8am every weekday and all day weekend)
Bt Pay as you go (1p a min after 6pm and 2p a minute at peak)

This service is very poor indeed and should not be chosen by people that want a good service, you should pick freeserve anytime which is 2 pound cheaper and provides a good service. Freeserve is a better alternative because it keeps you connected for much longer and gives you better pings an transfer rates.
