I have 2 phone lines one dedicated to the internet, I ordered the ADSL over 2 months ago and was very pleased when they said it was available at my exchange, living only 2 miles fromt the exchange meant I would have no problems, however when they came out to fit the adsl the line failed the final test they were looking for a reading of .50 and only got .45. So undetered I got back onto Openworld to arrange for it to be done on the 2nd line instead, it took me 3 days to have my credit card details released off their system and 16 phone calls to various different people dealing with this. While I was sorting this out I queried why my line had failed and was told there was noise on the line (which they DO NOT fix the lines) and it was probably old cable, oh well I knew the 2nd line was new because I only had it installed earlier this year, so I waited with excitement for the new installation date which was yesterday, and I waited and I waited and then I phoned and they had no record of any installation or order from me for the 2nd line, I pointed out that I had the welcome pack and they say they have no record of that either and I must have made a mistake. ???? So If I still want it I can re-order and wait another month. Incidently since they came the first time I have been unable to use any of the extentions I previously had installed for which I paid BT to put in and openworld dont fix them and BT say it isnt their resposibility so all in all a pretty bad service. Allow the promise of the speed was mouthwatering Im begining to think ill never get to enjoy it. And as everyone knows there is little point going elsewhere because Openworld do all the installations for everyone. They are due to launch another service around xmas called RDSL where they only guarantee the speed you had at the time of your connection so for all those whose lines failed the home test (but passed the exchange test) I think this is going to be the answer because although others have stated op
enworld will correct noise errors etc so you can access the adsl they dont. So what do you get for £150? A bit of cable a nice green modem and no service
