Bulldog BroadbandNewest Review: ... Something they had done prevented any other supplier from taking over the line (a 'closed loop'??). No other supplier would believe I actually had a phone line, they assumed that I must be on cable, which I wasn't. I wanted to change as the service had gone down from 'up to 8Meg' to 2k!! I got so fed up with being passed from one help desk to another that I cancelled my contract and had BT ... more |

I joined Bulldog when they were independent, as another reviewer has stated, when they were taken over the service went downhill. Something they had done prevented any other supplier from taking over the line (a 'closed loop'??). No other supplier would believe I actually had a phone line, they assumed that I must be on cable, which I wasn't. I wanted to change as the service had gone down from 'up to 8Meg' to 2k!! I got so fed up with being passed from one help desk to another that I cancelled my contract and had BT install a new line to my house, ok it cost £120 but it was worth it just to get a reliable broadband. It has meant we have to change our number too, which ... Read the complete review

Used to be good but, now they've been taken over by Pipex, they're a complete ripoff. Pricing is silly compared to others like O2. Also had bad experience with customer services. One to avoid I think.

When I moved house 2 years ago, I needed new broadband connection. Bulldog looked quite obvious choice due to their advertised 8 mbps speed and cheap rates. So I ordered bulldog straightaway. Then next day I talked to one of my colleague, who was having lot of issues with his bulldog broadband service. He told me that their customer service is the worst and his broadband is still not working after 1 month. So, I realised my mistake and cancelled the bulldog contract very next day within 7 day cooling period. The support staff seem very helpful and helped me cancel the contract over the phone. The real fun began after a week. I received modem from them. I called them ... Read the complete review

Well, where shall I start? Joined Bulldog because of cheap costs and offer of 6-month contract. Found out later it was actually 12 and as I have no proof, I can't do anything about it. Moved house so wanted to transfer account. You can't do this. Must sign up to new 12-month contract My 8mb connection never exceed 4mb Customer Service will give you hypertension and are worse than Wanadoo and BT (whom I have used in the past). Never received welcome pack or modem until month after being. I'm Indian myself but I can't stand the Bulldog Indian Call Centre - far too script orientated and can not ... Read the complete review

Appalling customer services. Bulldog forgot to take money from my account for about 6 months, then tried to take it all in one go. When I refused and agreed to pay at 50 pounds per month they forgot to take this, then they tried to take it all twice. I have now been informed that they have taken what they admit to be their billing error to a debt collecting agency. Don't ever use ... Read the complete review
