Bulldog Broadband: Step away from the Bulldog, do not touch the Bulldog (161 words)
by Ben "no middle name" Cracknell - written on 06/07/09

I joined Bulldog when they were independent, as another reviewer has stated, when they were taken over the service went downhill. Something they had done prevented any other supplier from taking over the line (a 'closed loop'??). No other supplier would believe I actually had a phone line, they assumed that I must be on cable, which I wasn't. I ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Bulldog Broadband

Used to be good but, now they've been taken over by Pipex, they're a complete ripoff. Pricing is silly compared to others like O2. Also had bad experience with customer services. One to avoid I think.

When I moved house 2 years ago, I needed new broadband connection. Bulldog looked quite obvious choice due to their advertised 8 mbps speed and cheap rates. So I ordered bulldog straightaway. Then next day I talked to one of my colleague, who was having lot of issues with his bulldog broadband service. He told me that their customer service is the ...  Read the complete review

Appalling customer services. Bulldog forgot to take money from my account for about 6 months, then tried to take it all in one go. When I refused and agreed to pay at 50 pounds per month they forgot to take this, then they tried to take it all twice. I have now been informed that they have taken what they admit to be their billing error to a debt ...  Read the complete review

1) Didn't get the service I asked for when I signed up so I cancelled as soon as I discovered I was getting the wrong product. 2)Although I was told that somebody would contact me to confirm my cancellation - instead I received notification of a change to a different service I didn't want. 3) Phoned Bulldog who had no record of the ...  Read the complete review

I had heard some bad things about Bulldog - seeing that Watchdog show was enough to put anyone off! However, I moved from the sticks to London and my new flat had no telephone line. BT (even though I was a customer before) wanted to charge me almost £100 to activate a telephone line. I needed Broadband at some point too, so when I ...  Read the complete review

Bulldog (www.bulldogbroadband.com) are part of the cable & wireless company. I was warned against subscribing to Bulldog, but with 8 megs broadband and only one month's notice to cancel the contract I thought, how bad could it be? When my service broke down Bulldog was incapable of fixing it and took so long to work out there was a fault with the line that I had moved out of the property before the service could be ...  Read the complete review

Who are bulldog: Bulldog were setup in 2000 and are part of the cable & wireless company. The company's initial aims were to provide high speed broadband in the UK for a reasonable price; something most UK ISPs were failing to do.
