The front page is a bit cluttered but there are lots of links to other services and lots of information about charities. You nominate which charity you want as your banner headline. The helpline is good although expensive and information is kept up to date. Why the BUT!!, well despite many enquiries, always answered promptly, including the suggestion of a possible monthly flat rate charge, the initial suggestion of a 1p a minute charge has never materialised. When I first started surfing I came across Care4free an ISP that promised to give both an initial donation plus a share of its profits to charity. This seemed a great idea, coupled with the suggestion that as soon as possible they would a 1p a minute flat rate charge. Well I signed up and the service has been good, they are constantly rated as one of the best ISP in various Internet magazines. I was disappointed to receive an email from Care4Free recently stating "...the decision has been reluctantly taken that the Care4free charity ISP service can no longer continue in its present charity fundraising form.". Care4Free revenues have failed to reach the anticipated levels, and they no longer provide charities with one-off payments when new signups spend 10 hours online, or provide a percentage of their profits as originally. WOW! THis is one of those sites you click onto and spend ages exploring. The home page has loads and loads of tempting links to click onto. Care4free is actually a service provider which enables your chosen charity to benefit financially from the time you spend online. You get fast dial-up speeds and reliable connectivity, up to 5 e-mail boxes, 15MB of free Web space, Local call charges etc. There are links for all the latest news headlines, sport, alternative health (one of my particular interests) numerous 'lifestyle chanels and the site has been designed in a striking red, white and blue colour scheme. So onto the charity bit. ... Read the complete review

Care4free is now the preferred internet portal and ISP for a number of well established UK charities. Either via the main care4free site (www.care4free.net), or via a number of customised home pages, many charities and their supporters now have an internet presence, and what's more they are helping their cause by signing up to, and continuing to use this ISP. Care4free was set up by Findel plc, formerly Fine Art Developments plc, who have a wealth of experience in the charity and fundraising sector, via their links to literally hundreds of charities, for whom they produce catalogues to help raise funds. Typically, this operates as a traditional mail ... Read the complete review
