Advantages: Ha Ha Ha
Disadvantages: Very Expensive, Bad support, Dodgy software
I installed Compuserve on my computer as I had just wiped off a virus that took my dialler with it. I took it on free trial but understood that it would cost me £6.99 a month if I were to continue after 28 days. It took about 2 hours of calls to get through to them when the password that they had given me didn't work. Upon getting through I was told not to worry because it happens all the time- great I thought! I was then given a new password and told that I had to have this and couldn't pick my own. After the monstrous installation job I then finally got the chance to try and get on the net. Try being the operative word! Anyway after much messing about for about 12 days and trying to work out the secret compuserve code that seems to send your PC looney I was put onto another company. The new company was bigbluesky.co.uk and for the measly sum of £25 you get free interent access. All day, every day, no limit just free access. I have written an opinion on this and I recommend that you read it. The closest otehr decent deal I could get was BT at £14.99 a month for unlimited free access. If you compare these two to compuserve you will see the ridiculous price. It will cost you almost 3 times as much in monthly charges to compuserve for a year than it will for bigblue sky unlimited access!!!!!
