Eclipse Internet is an awful ISP provider that has gone down hill fast since their sell out a couple of years ago.
With a Eclipse Fair Usage Policy time that applies between 9am and 11pm daily' makes it hard to stay within your Broadband usage.
When do Eclipse think your going to use the internet 3am in the morning.
Phoned up to report a problem with my speed, they informed me that it was not a problem but they have capped the speeds on purpose so that users would go to their "new" packages.
Not recommended' avoid this I.S.P Company
The good news.
I switched to 02 excellent I.S.P Fast reliable speeds. Super customer service. Totally reliable, wished I had done it a long while ago. Highly recommended.

I've been with eclipse for 4 years; they were brilliant, one of the best ISPs available, tech support could not have been better, fast reliable connection speeds until, I believe, they were taken over. I have now had enough and am giving up and migrating to another provider. During peak evening hours the connection is slow to non usable, if you’re prepared to wait till after midnight fine. I requested my MAC details, which should have been forwarded within 5 days that took 13, any problems are the result of BT or your PC not theirs, even though the status on the web site states 'ADSL slow' and has done for weeks. Eclipse technical support is hopeless. Recently the company has had problems maintaining decent broad-band speeds. If you ring up, they go through a great long rigmarole about "Have you got your phone plugged into the right socket?" and so on. Actually, though, it's blindingly obvious that the problems are with the central Eclipse network... because quite a lot of people have reported the slow speed issue on web forums. Search for yourself and you'll see. Eclipse claim they offer really fast speeds and it's true that they used to provide good speeds, but there seems to be a new policy where they slow your speed if you try to do something they don't ... I have been with Eclipse Internet for over 3 years. Admittedly the service was pretty great at the start, slowly getting worse as the years have gone by and as they have grown. If everything is running smoothly with your connection and hosting, then they're just great. But god forbid you should ever require technical support or attempt to leave their service. I have been trying to leave for over two months and attempting to transfer my domains to a new ISP. This is impossible. As I type I have been on hold to their customer service desk for over 20 MINUTES. No kidding. They refuse to answer my numerous emails and call logging. I cannot transfer my domains it seems. ... I always do my homework before buying something. That should be apparent by the other reviews. Hundreds of Broadband ISPs but which one is best for me. Well after surfing the net for a few days I finally came across adslguide.org. This proved extremely useful in the search for an ISP. The criteria was to find an ISP for under £28 in order to be cheaper than a second line with internet on per month (dedicated internet line). Adslguide has a useful search page, where you select up to 6 ISPs and you get user feed back from the previous months, compared to the companies you select. It was mere chance that one of the companies I selected to compare was ... Read the complete review
