Advantages: fast phone responses

Disadvantages: no solutions to reall issues that occur

The tech support people are not really clued up to anything more than the basic issues that arise.

I had a 425 error on their server and tried everything to no avail. After two weeks I told them I had no alternative but to shift my site as I needed to access it urgently. I asked if they had any alternatives which they did not. They kept insisting it was a local problem.

Anyway, I moved the site to another server where I have several other websites and the problem vanished.....same line, same ftp, same everything except for the fasthost server.

My rating for their support and understanding 1 for answering the phone 8.

They need to wise up and address the issues and get some people who know what they are talking about beyond the basics.

I am now trying to stop recurring payments for hosting that does not work and is not needed. Customer care really do not care and are downright unprofessional in their responses, continuing to send out 'problem resolved' emails to the tickets when the issue are not solved.

They fail to understand or take on board the customers issues, pointing instead to standard replies and their 'terms and conditions' telling me the contract is until July 2009 and that they cant alter it, even though it categorically states that 'they can cancel a service at any time.

Summary: would not reccommend them at all
