Advantages: reliable, good customer services, fast loading, no downtime

Disadvantages: stealth bills make it tough to keep track of when they have taken money if you don't watch them

Personally and maybe i am one of the lucky ones but i use Fasthosts for my hosting for clients websites and have had no problems with them at all.

For me at least they have been efficent and fast at setting services up for me and resolving issues. Their callback system is good, i emailed them and then 10 minutes later the phone was ringing with someone wanting to help resolve the issue, this is impressive in my opinion and as such i recommend them to friends.

I have had no downtime on my clients sites and the control panel and ftp always work without any problems whatsoever.

Although their rates aren't the cheapest around, i believe you get what you pay for and so i will be sticking with them until they fail me for any reason.

The payment system i will admit is wrong in the way they bill often without telling you and that you have to go on the 'My Account' area to see what was taken and when but aside from this i have no issues with them

Summary: overall a great company that just needs to fine tune their finanaces system
