Disadvantages: Rude support, overpriced, limited control panel, loads of hidden charges

I've had nothing but trouble with Fasthosts since I signed up for a reseller account a few years back. I would have moved sooner but with all the work involved with changing hosts I stuck with them. I've finally made time and have made the move to Heart Internet. Cutting the final links with Fasthosts in about a week.

They are the most money grabbing company I've ever dealt with and have a very rude, arrogant support team - when you can get through that is! Their reseller account is vastly overpriced and they charge for hidden extras so in the end you pay way over the odds for an unreliable service.

About a year ago their system was hacked which caused major disruption and serious security breaches. No compensation was given out whatsoever. Up to recently they charged £29 + vat pa for an SQL database and when that fee was scrapped they continued to charge customers with existing databases. Their excuse was 'We can't help that as that's the way our system works'. Complete lies. Really, as you can probably gather, I've had a terrible 'stay' with Fasthosts, they've wasted my time, been extremely rude and unapologetic and generally provided a hugely unsatisfactory service.

Avoid like the plague!
