Advantages: Experiance of bad service, will appreciate good service when found

Disadvantages: Registering a domain name

Newbies considering FASTHOSTS... DO NOT USE!...... l am a newbie to web creation and so decided to register a domain name with Fasthosts, they offered what l thought was a good deal.. register a .com get a co.uk for free, great....whilst filling in the details online l recieved a very helpful phone call from their sales dept offering to complete the process there and then...impressive customer service, l made the right choice...NOT!

The co.uk registered almost immediatly, nine days later still waiting for .com to do the same. Emails and telephone calls later get the same response "sorry blah blah, issue a ticket to escalate problem to tech dept blah blah, should only take a few minutes blah blah our problem at back end blah blah blah" problem still not sorted.

Their back end certainly requires attention ( by someones very large boot), their service is appalling and has left this newbie very frustrated and disappointed. I hope not all companies are like this, as my journey into the web design world will be a very brief one.

Summary: Can't wait to find a good company as l have definatly found one of the bad.
