Disadvantages: Misleading advertising, Hidden extra costs, Untrustworthy support

Total waste of money. Very attractive website, seemingly very good deals, but beware!

1) The description of the Home Users account makes untrue and unwarranted claims, such as "Many advanced services included at no extra cost", "No hidden charges", and "Flat Monthly fee +VAT". Once you've paid your money, you'll find out that the services which attracted you to FastHosts will cost you extra money on top of your flat rate fee.

2) The tech support people are unreliable and untrustworthy. I e-mailed them about the above issue, and also about the "Advanced Password Protection" facility, which was listed among the features when I purchased my account, but then disappeared within a week. When I questioned them about this, they lied "As for the URL security this is not even offered on the personal account and never has been, this is only available on Business and reseller account." The only way I could confirm that they'd advertised this previously was by checking Google's cached copy of the page!

I'm reporting these guys to the Office of Fair Trading. You'll not get what was promised nor will you get straight or truthful answers. Cheating companies like these shouldn't be allowed to trade. Take your custom elsewhere!
