Never be tempted to use Fasthosts.

They are rubbish in everything they do.

Whether it is just for one basic site, or like us a reseller with many, do not go near them.

They will be more trouble than they are worth, with slow servers, bad idiotic support and terrible attitude to customer retention. Don't do it

They are really bad at everything and do not care whether they keep their single site customers or resellers, trapped with them, with 100's of sites

Do not use them, you will only regret it

More hassle and stress than they are worth, at any price

Fasthosts are just the worst company I've ever used (and I used to be an estate agent!!). Even though I canceled their service over a year ago, they still insisted on charging my credit card this year. Apparently, I didn't cancel the unwanted service in the correct way. I'm going to sue them - power to the people!! And I'm a die-hard Tory!!
Also, they are not 1 star - they are minus 5 stars!!

Fasthosts is the worst hosting company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have been designing sites for over 15 years, and Fasthosts is the epitomy of a company who knows nothing about web technologies & customer service, it's a merely a 'fast food" hosting company. Stick with the guys who know how to host properly, these guys are amateurs, they even use other companies servers and have a habit of setting up other companies to fool new folks in the business. I tested them out for a year, as I was interested in seeing the the webs hosting cowboys offer. Be careful, check your AS numbers.

The worst customer service ever: I even when to their office and was told that no one would speak to me.
Do NOT USE FASTHOST

Delays in email routing, occasional POP3 unavailability, poor control panel access and speed. Half an hour in telephone queue to close the account, (can't do it online). Watch the RSS feed of their system status reports at http://www.fasthosts.co.uk/rss/Status.rss for an idea of how much service interruption they suffer.

Avoid like the plague!
I'm a computer consultant and have been unravelling the incompetence caused by these clowns. Very time consuming, frustrating and thus expensive for all involved, which far outweighs any saving you may make in the initial cost of the domain. My advice, pay a little bit more for the domain and services from a smaller outfit and you should get a superior level of customer service.

I am having similar problems with Fasthosts at the moment as mentioned in other posts. Generally Fasthosts work well but when things go wrong boy do they go wrong! Here at A180 darts . Fasthost asked us to change password as there system was hacked into ( Not my fault ) so we did so. Today we have no website and no job to go to www.a180.co.uk
no telephone support all jamed and no real response from email.
They say they are sending new one in post, How pathetic can they be.
1000s of hours work all waisted

Fasthosts seem to think that trading laws apply to other people, will take your money without asking and refuse a refund when you have the cheek to complain.

Easy to use website, easy to apply for domains, good price - but bad services. I made a change to some of my domains, to let expire them. Fasthost do not accept these changes and still charge me for the next years. I try to communicate through email, but with no result.
