Freeserve is a generaly a good company for students or people who don't want to pay for being a member and the phone bill. That is why freeserve have the offpeak rates. YOu can get the package in which you pay about £10 for after 6.00pm in the weekday and offpeak all weekend. SO you can get a whole load if net time for not very much. i dont like freeserve because a lot of people are being served for free and that makes it not fair on the people not being served for free but the people not being served for free could go and get served for free and then we would all be served for free on free serve and then everybody and me would be happy because it is fair and what is good for ...  Read the complete review

Freeserve offer 2 packages; Off Peak Time, for the comfortable price of £5.99 or Anytime, for the still reasonable price of £15. I am sad to say, Freeserve has more down than ups. The service disconnects every 2 hours, making it difficult to fit in large downloads. It is sometimes difficult to connect to the service, with some days, it takes over ...  Read the complete review

Have you ever subscibed to an ISP just for technical help? I Know a lot of people do, but there is also a lot of people that will never use it. If you do use it then Aol is your isp. But if you dont, rather than having free technical support you can save £2.00 a month on subscribtion, get slightly better service that aol and you will not have to ...  Read the complete review

Last time I wrote about freeserve, I was quite irrate, I had been having terrible problems with my connection, and wasn't getting much help from them. Fortunatly, i have a friend who is quite talented with computers, who managed to get everything working again. I've had a freeserve account for about 8 months, and when I started it ...  Read the complete review

having used freeserve since it became available a few years ago i have to say it has steadily gone downhill.....freeserve must have half the population of great britain using it at once...it is appalling. having then decided to try the £12.99 per month subscription service i am still non too impressed with it. firstly i cancelled my ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Freeserve: Can U say... DIS-CON-ECT-TED (221 words)

Can you say, disconnected. This seems to be Freeserves motto. I'm having a laugh talking to my friends on MSN Messenger, doing some Dooyoo, when... 'would you like to reconnect'. It is so annoying. Maybe it is just because I have BT/Freeserve off-peak, £5.99 a month effort. I can't remember what it is called, but I pay ...  Read the complete review

As one of the first members of Freeserve Unlimited, I enjoyed the benefits of being able to connect to the Internet whenever I wanted, all for 10 pounds a month (and as a student living at home, that was quite a lot of time). Freeserve have discontinued that scheme now, in favour of Freeserve Anytime. The cost is now 13 pounds a month, and you ...  Read the complete review

I've been using Freeserve since the day it came out.I started off paying for the calls individually, they soon added up on my BT bill, so I decided to go on Freeserve Unlimited. After a few months of teething problems, i.e bad connections, slow service etc, it suddenly corrected itself and I was happy with the service. Not ...  Read the complete review

I like freeserve as it was the only ISP we could get on the surftime deal with BT.Its a good service with a really good search engine.I have a email address with freeserve but it does log you off if its running idle for a while. The surftime deal is ok too but they can be flooded so you get an engaged tone but you still get in after a while. They ...  Read the complete review

At £12.99 a month freeserve anytime is one of the cheapest big name internet service providers. To sign up you need to join freeserve 'no ties' for which you pay local call rates. This can be done by picking up a cd from currys ,pc world or dixons or by visiting www.freeserve .co.uk.fill in the online application form and your ...  Read the complete review

Freeserve, you fickle, furtive, feckless, felonious, fumbling, flummoxing folk you. It started, oh about a year ago. You courted me with fine words, free, yes FREE unlimited internet access via an 0800 number. Yes, you did ask a small price of 9.99p per month for your service, but if I made 9.99p worth of telephone calls, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Freeserve: Surfing that makes me smile !! (441 words)

What’s quick, easy, fun and only costs £12.99 a month ? My answer would be Freeserve Anytime – the unmetered internet service from (obviously) Freeserve. Now I never used to be a Freeserve fan – I guess it was something to do with my experiences of ‘strange’ salespeople in PC World, Dixons and Currys – ...  Read the complete review

When I joined Freeserve Unlimited, after the closure of Line One's brilliant but amazingly underpriced service, I didn't expect a lot for my £10 a month, and at first, I didn't get a lot, becasue it was often impossible to log on, and difficult to stay online. However, the service did improve, and after they stopped taking on more ...  Read the complete review

I had to change my ISP as I had changed my phone line to BT. BT wouold offer me a deal in which on off-peak net time would cost only £5.99 a month - all I had to do was choose a ISP. I already had a freeserve account (hey- they gave me a free CD) so I opted to use Freeserve. I am still unsure if this was a good or bad choice. First ...  Read the complete review

I signed up for unlimited access some months ago and, initially found the service quite good. However, as a fairly heavy internet user, I became concerned that I too would be subjected to the boot as rumours were rife that Freeserve were trying to get rid of users who use their UNLIMITED service too much! Sure enough I, like many others, ...  Read the complete review

I first came on to the net on the 9th march 2001. I didn't know the first thing about computers, in fact I didn't even know how to switch one on never mind do the surfing. Freeserve anytime? wot a joke!! For a start u get cut off after 2 hours of surfing, and in any case you'll be lucky to be on for that long with out getting disconnected. Ah! Freeserve. They used to be the king of the internet some years back I believe. Not so now with vast competition.
