Tried to subscribe to HomeChoice TV and broadband but gave up due to poor service.
Sales process was slow and inefficient with long waits in a holding queue phone, multiple callbacks over almost two weeks and inefficiency in clearing the previous homeowner's subscription.
When I explained my reasons, the salesperson rudely cut me off.
The alternative provider dealt with everything in one call with no queue and offered a better package and quick installation.

We've been using Homechoice now for several years, and whilst it was always a bit prone to slow down and show the dreaded red light on the box these problems were intermittent. However for the past few months the service has deteriorated to the point where you can guarantee problems during every program you watch, you can also ... Read the complete review

What to expect from HomeChoice: 1. Ordered HomeChoice and made an appointment for the installation, in two weeks time. 2. Shortly before the appointment I received an email telling me there was a "cabling problem" and that HomeChoice couldn't provide me any service. 3. Tried to get connect with another ... Here is why I would not recommend Homechoice: - It takes about 10-20 minutes until you speak to someone from the technology helpline (Our Customer Care team is committed to answering 90% of all calls within 15 seconds. ... as per HC website is a joke!) - The TV service stops several time during peak times. Hence you have to reboot the ... Read the complete review

Homechoice, the name for the service provided by Video Networks Ltd, is a package that consists of tv services, broadband internet and option phone services delivered down one phone line. What is special about Homechoice is that it is the first dedicated broadband TV service in the UK. The service is mainly available in and around ... Read the complete review

Well where do I start?! From the beginning I guess. I decided to join homechoice as the setup seemed good; tv, broadband and phone calls all included, and cheap too. Hmm there is a good reason for that. I also opted for the homechoice service because it would allow our networked household (wired and comprising of five computers) to work whilst ... 1. Overly familiar engineer asked how much I was paying to rent my flat. 2. Customer service rep who dealt with upgrading my package didn't seem to know much about the product and sounded bored. 3. Didn't tell me I'd have to wait 10 working days for the telephone line to be migrated from BT to HomeChoice, so had full price BT ... Read the complete review

Having had a quick look over the old reviews about this service, I thought I'd have a stab. I noticed some of those reviews were a couple of years old. Since then, homechoice has made vast improvements in their service in general, and also in their ADSL. For a reasonable price, Homechoice offer you a VOD TV service (I'll go more ... Until January this year we were, for nearly two years, quite happy subscribers to Homechoice. Ok, the ADSL was not amazingly fast, but for £20 a month we had the equivalent of a second phone line and unlimited fast-ish access. We also had the option when we felt like it of pay per view films, tv series etc. And the customer service was, as other ... Read the complete review

I've been a HOMECHOICE subscriber for over a year now and I have found them to be top notch. I use the internet upwards of 35 hours per week. I wanted to use the phone while online and didn't want to have a new line put into my rented flat. Their deal was the best for my requirements. The on-demand TV was an added bonus for me but I ... I've been a Homechoice customer for over a year and I was quite satisfied with their service. Then I subscribed to Homechoice ADSL and I found out that this is a JOKE. My 2 pence worth: I have been with HC for a couple of months thus far. And the service provided compared to my old BT surf time dial-up is excellent. Hardly any dropped connections. What I love the most is the fact that my landline is active while online. I am not a gammer; soo speed is not really a pre-requisite. The VOD is an ... Read the complete review

Firstly, I have to say that this review may probably seem a bit over the top. However, this is only because I have been with Homechoice since the beginning, and my extended 'exposure' to the ‘HC’ service has left me somewhat bitter. We have had the full HomeChoice service for around 4 months now. Initially we had some problems but that was with our personal PC setup. During this time HomeChoice was extremely (if anything TOO) helpful! Their customer service is excellent - if the person you were talking to couldn't help, someone called back within an hour, and there ... Read the complete review

I had Homechoice internet and tv services installed about a month ago. I only really wanted the internet, but the installation is only £40 when you get both and £80 when you only get the so called "fast" internet service. The internet service is sold as ADSL which I feel is completely misleading. traditionally ADSL is a 512kbps ... Read the complete review

Unfortunately, I feel that HomeChoice is not a real ISP, they simply add fast internet onto their offering in order to sell the TV on demand service, which is in itself poor, but I've reviewed that separately. First of all, the only way onto the internet is through their firewall, which creates too many problems. They say it's for ... Read the complete review
