Advantages: Good price, 0845 technical support, no downloading adverts, can be used on non BT line
Disadvantages: Can take 10 mins of trying to log in at peak times
I have been a customer of IG Click since it started in mid August this year. Generally they have provided a decent level of service for most of the time. When it first started, I was able to connect first time every time. Over the last few weeks, things have gone downhill. It sometimes takes 10 mins of trying to get a connection. Their mail servers have been down quite a few times. It doesn't cause too much trouble, because I mainly use my hotmail. In fairness, whenever they have had their systems down, an apology is always sent out to all customers. Sometimes, I received an apology for non service at times when I wasn't even connected. The time it takes to connect, is mainly down to more customers joining. Their systems cannot cope. It does however explain this on their home page, and today, I had no problems connecting at 6pm (usually the worse time to connect) Whilst connected, I receive no problems. Have been disconnected, but this is rare, especially when BT Internet cut off fairly often. Price is very good as well. £50 connection fee, plus £30 per year (£80 for first year). They offer 24 hour access via an 0808 number, and it can be used on a non BT line. Technical support is on an 0845 number. Apart from the inability to connect first time for a few weeks, the rest of the service has been very good, and the company are aware of this problem, and are in the process of dealing with it.
