Advantages: Free ISP with a nice launher

Disadvantages: Not much to make it stand out of the crowd

etscape online is a fairly easy ISP to sign up for. It isn`t the best of the bunch by a long shot, but they are a nice ISP that just plods along doing whatever you want.

Don`t confuse this with the Netscape browser. Obviously they reccomend Netscape when you sign up but you don`t have to use it to use the ISP. You can use Internet Explorer (a much classier browser in every way), Opera or anything else you want.

Once you have signed up (easy to do from the CD, just follow the instructions) you get a little program to run that launches whenever your computer needs a connection to the internet. You can choose to connect to the net, open your broswer, mail program and so on - it just makes it a bit easier than hunting round for the icon to load whichever program you want.

Once you have connected the service is average. It isn`t lightening fast but it`s no slouch either. Sites load quickly enough so you don`t get fed up, and you don`t get hung up on at random nulike some other ISP`s.

Netscape is basically a bog-standard free ISP with a ncie launcher program. Give them a try if you need another free ISP account or want one that is easy to set up. You won`t be dissapointed.
