NTL - Nightmare, Torture, Lame !! (NTL)

Disadvantages: not free, not quick, rubbish service

By reading most of the opinions i have realised that it is not only me who finds ntl one of the most annoying companies in the world. When i first saw ntl, it looked like a great idea, internet for free if you pay 15 pounds for line rental etc. I thought, what the hell...go for it.

Firsty they installed the line, things were looking good, until they left. They left a whole in the wall, and water came though where my phone line was connected.

Secondly i signed up just for the internet and the disk didnt come for about 5 months, so i have already payed 5 months of £15 for nothing but a phone line which i didnt use.

Thirdly when i did get my disk it didnt work so i had to send back and get another one and finally after my free internet had been working for 1 month the prices for line rental went up.

So, the bottom line is that ntl are cheap but not cheerful. Make sure you get everything in writing and you know what you paying for and when your going to get it. The other thing you could do is avoid NTL altogether.
