I've been with a number of ISP's over the years but have now settled with NTL as I feel they offer the best deal. Although BT offer a similar package I found logging on with them very hard work. I started off with NTL by purchasing a box, which gets plugged in to your phone socket, you attach the phone line to this not your modem line. I was also with nlt since i moved in, but since virgin media have taken over my t.v has not worked and i 'm still paying for it. Not happy about the problems and i can never get into contact with anyone on the phone, always seem to be busy which is not hard to imagine with there bad customer sevice that they provide. As soon as my yearly contract is over in july i will be changing to sky. Really awfull service. Hate virgin anything now. One word seems to describe them ... Read the complete review

I have been with Telewest (now Virgin Media) for many years without any major problems; However, since the company changed its name, I have noticed that its customer service has gone down almost overnight. I'll give you an example of what I mean by this: Last friday (27th of April, 2007) I was ‘surfing the net’ and my internet connection stopped all of a sudden, I immediately rang 150 to see what'd happened, the guy asked me to disconnect my modem and reboot my PC (which I’d already done)...nothing changed, still I had no internet connection. I would advise anyone who is thinking of joining NTL ( or Virgin Media as they like to be called) to consider any other option. If you do not pay your bill on time they suspend your services. They will lie to you on a regular basis. I have had so many problems with NTL that I have transfered my tv to sky, my phone to bt and now just need to get rid of the broadband. Leaving NTL is not easy, you have to pay a month in advance and then you go through so many departments you get sick and give up. A friend of mine had to say he was moving to the USA just to get ...
