Advantages: e, good price, good pings
Disadvantages: long hold to tech support, some areas not so good
EDIT: now NTL have introduced a cap of 1gb of data a day, I would strongly advise getting ADSL. NTL broadband is no longer "unlimited" the 1mbit service would hit the 1gb cap after 2 1/2 hours at full speed. ADSL is not capped, DO NOT GET NTL BROADBAND UNTIL THEY REMOVE THIS CAP.

Conclusion
It's a poor. service and gives you flexibility of prices. If you're a high net user then this is a must really, you wont believe the difference of having a permanent connection and not taking up a phone line! If you also want a digital cable TV service then NTL offers the whole package at a good price and with a good service level. I am really happy with it and wouldn't go back to dial up for anything.
