I would advise anyone who is thinking of joining NTL ( or Virgin Media as they like to be called) to consider any other option. If you do not pay your bill on time they suspend your services. After a day and a half wasted waiting for the installation engineers and having no calls returned, I was told that I had been given another installation date (without being informed!) on a Wednesday. Sign up in haste, repent at lesisure! Signing up is quick enough - but I am still paying three months after cancelling my account - how is that right?! NTL have made no effort to refund my money despite several phone calls (which of course I have to pay for) to Customer Services. Once with them, you will never leave - for all the wrong reasons.
