O2 have been around for quite a few years now, previously being BT Cellnet.

I started with O2 back in 2004, simply because other members of my family were with them and said they had had no problems with them.

I went straight onto a contract with them have had a contract phone since.

They offer various mobile phones which generally with a contract you will get free however, some phones do need you to be paying a higher tariff to allow O2 to give you the phone.

To choose your tariff you can either look online and work out what is best for you or vist O2 in store. To be honest, I tend to have most of my dealings with O2 online. I usually find the staff in store are a bit dim and it can take a while to get someone. If you are computer literate, it is much easier to do it all online.

Once you choose your tariff you can choose to add a bolt-on. This is when they tariff you've chosen doesn't quite match what you need, so you pay another £5 a month for example to get extra text messages.

You then need to choose you phone to go with your tariff. Again, I always do this online. Once I ordered my upgrade at 6pm and it arrived the next day, I have always found O2 to have a very efficient delivery service.

I have been with O2 for 5 years and have no reason to leave them. Every 3 months I get O2 treats, which means I can choose something like 20 free minutes or 20 free tects etc. Better than nothing!
Also, because I have been with them for so long I am now a Premier Customer which means I have a priority phone number to contact O2 on. I have definately found I get a better level of service now.

If you are with another company and are unhappy, I would suggest O2, especially if you like to sort this sort of thing online.

Summary: If you're unhappy with current provider, maybe try O2?
