Advantages: good contract and pay as you go sims

Disadvantages: other networks are starting to get better or as good deals

I have been with o2 for 5 years. I started off way back when the Nokia 360 was the epitome of cool and the most fissionable phone. The reason for joining o2 at the time was because of there great genie chip they had.

On their website you could get a sim card and 5 more for free. This particular sim was one that when topping up 10 pounds you got 300 texts for the month for free. At the time this was amazing as I could only send about that much anyway. The chip then upgraded so that if you spent 15 pounds you got 500 texts then if you spent 30 you got 1000. this was great until I got to about 17 and was easily spending around 30 pounds a month anyway.

This meant that I was paying as much as a decent contract and phone every month and getting no where near what I could be getting.

So, on that note I decided to look at contracts. The main reason I hadn't done this before was because I always thought that if I went away for a month I didn't want to be paying for something I was not using or if something better popped up I didn't want to be stuck with something for 12 months or even 18 months as they have gone up to now!

So I looked around at the other networks to find something that might fit into my indecisive and short term lifestyle wants. I actually didn't really see anything I wanted and once I called up o2 everything was sorted.

There are one month contract where by you can choose between £10, £15, £20 contracts where there is no phone up grades but you can get all the benefits. For example I pay £20 a month and I get 600 minutes, 1000 texts and free calls to land lines and mobiles during the weekend. This means I have an almost endless supple and for not that much money.

O2 have been great and the only problem I encountered was with the transferring of my number - as I wanted to keep the same number - it took around 5 days and my number didn't work this entire time.

The best thing about this contract is that I can move up and down in the contract if I want to have more or less minutes and texts and I can cancel it at ANY TIME without playing any more! Very useful and I truly like the service.

PERFECT

Summary: a good network to choose what ever you want
