Advantages: good value
Disadvantages: poor service
I have been on Orange Everyday 50 for the past two years and have found the tariff very suitable for my needs. However I find orange customer service to be useless and very rude. The tariff allows you 50 minutes off peak daily for the sum of £15.00 a month. This is very good value and althought the minutes do not roll over they provide me with plenty of time to talk! However on the number of times I have called orange for help they have left me on hold for long periods of time before finally answering. When they do answer, I don not find them very helpful at all. The operators do not seem to know what they are talking about and their system does not seem to carry all the information about the customers. I also find the network coverage to be poor, at my home in cheshire it is very good. However, at my university in Cardiff it is very poor and repeatidly cuts you off or will not let you ring at all, simply saying 'network busy'. This is very annoying especailly you ahve an important call to make. The bills that they send also seem to be wrong regualary. They will send one bill with no messages on (even though I had sent many), then the next month that will add them on making the bill very large. I find this annoying especailly when I am trying to manage my money! I think that they need to take a good look at their service and improve it if they want to keep their customers.

- 21/04/01 Sorry to only give you a SU but I think you could have possibly been a bit more specific about the complaints and given some examples where they were rude or didnt know what they were talking about. I would also add that if you do experience a member of staff being rude to you the best thing to do is take their name and ask to speak to their Team Leader or Supervisor. I work at Orange and I know that any sort of bad attitude towards customers is not accepted, however, if it isnt highlighted nothing can be done about it. |
