Advantages: good tariffs
Disadvantages: Call centres are in India
The Orange network, one of the biggest in the UK. I think that every network has their pros and cons, but how does orange fair up to be.
I have been an orange customer for two years and six months, and so far I dont have many faults with them. Their tariffs are good compared to the rest (until T-mobile's new £30 month tariff came out a few months ago).
I am very happy with Orange and the phones that I got with them are branded free so i did not have to suffer poor sofware.
The only issue i had with Orange was their customer service once where after 9 months i decided to lower my tariff, i did so with no problem (£45 pm to £40) and was told by the advisor who was all the way in India that I can lower my tariff once per month as stated in my contract.
Next month I call them I was told that I cannot do so because i am only allowed to lower my tariff once per life of the contract. So I hang up and i am told the same again. I finally call the third time and hooray I lowered my tariff to £35. The same scenario happend for the next following months but now i am on a £25 tariff.
So apart from the troubles of downgrading my tariff i have not had much problems with Orange.
Summary: A good network all round
