misrepresented phone, poor customer service (Orange Network)

Advantages: Quick pick-up of phones when you call customer service

Basically I got a phone that was supposed to although wireless access, it however didn't work on all wireless devices. Orange acknowledged this and then suggested I remove encryption for my wireless network, which is ludicrous because it means removing the main safety feature of your internet access. In an age when security it of paramount importance for them to suggest that is beyond incompetence. Then their suggestion was to buy new equipment, which meant spending hundreds of pounds to buy new equipment, and getting rid of perfectly good brand new equipment that I recently got that works for ALL my other wireless equipment. I was then given another 'helpful' advice from Orange and that was to sell my existing phone that they provided not six months ago and to buy another (they seem to like to state the obvious), but as you can probably tell this has no involvement with Orange, this needed to be done privately. So if you look at the above no customer service was provided by Orange at all and all I wanted so something seriously simple and they admitted they misrepresented the product.

Summary: stay away if you want decent after sales service
