I have been a member of Orange's PAYG since April 2008.
Pros:
I like their offers such as wednesday movies, music, animal packages with different call and text rates.
Con:
Their customer service is really really bad.
I bought a PAYG sim on the last week of april and topped it up with £10 on the same day. By the first week of may, i was sent a notification via text saying that I have 0 balance and I thought of what I've done the past week that caused this. As a dolphin package user, I'm supposed to have 300free text and some call mins free. I never use phone calls as I'm deaf and had only texted my gf a few times that week but not more than 300 texts! So, I went online to check on my phone activity history however at that time, there was none. So I had my gf call orange's service and has said that the reason it got to 0 balance was because it was the end of the month despite topping up on the last week of the month! It took a while to justify the situation but at the end of it, they gave back the £10 i have topped up.
Another thing is, every wednesday i take advantage of their cinema promo of 2 for the price of 1 ticket but in order to request it, i have to wait for a long time or order it at least a week before. The last time I requested via text, i got a text stating i cannot request anymore as i can only get one confirmation per week. The problem was, I wasn't getting any confirmations. So my gf called up the service to clarify this and was told that it's on a first come first served basis and i just have to wait. I still didn't get any.
On topping up, my confirmation text comes like a week (or later) late. It would be great if i could get top up confirmation straight away.
Summary: Orange offers cheap rates but very bad service
